Educational Awareness on Alcohol and Substance Abuse at Turingi Primary School

The Kubalia Tertiary Student Union (KTSU) conducted an Educational Awareness on Alcohol and Substance Abuse at Turingi Primary School to educate students about the harmful effects of alcohol, drugs, and other addictive substances. The awareness aimed to build students' understanding of the long-term consequences of substance abuse while encouraging them to make wise decisions that promote healthy living, academic success, and personal development.

During the awareness, KTSU members explained how alcohol and substance abuse can negatively affect a person's physical and mental health, education, family relationships, and future opportunities. Students were encouraged to resist peer pressure, avoid harmful influences, and develop positive habits that support their learning and overall well-being. The sessions also highlighted the importance of self-discipline, respect, and making responsible choices that contribute to becoming productive members of their communities.

As part of the awareness, students were motivated to value education as the key to achieving their dreams and creating a better future for themselves and their families. KTSU members shared practical advice and inspiring messages that encouraged students to remain focused on their studies, uphold good values, and stay away from activities that could hinder their academic and personal growth.

This awareness reflects the Kubalia Tertiary Student Union's continued commitment to supporting schools through educational outreach programs that promote knowledge, positive behaviour, and youth empowerment. By raising awareness of alcohol and substance abuse at an early age, KTSU seeks to equip students with the confidence and understanding needed to make informed decisions and lead healthy, responsible lives.
