On 23 November 2025, the Kubalia Tertiary Student Union (KTSU) conducted an educational awareness program at Numbo High School in the Yangoru-Saussia District of East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. The program was organized to prepare and motivate Grade 12 students for life beyond secondary school by providing practical guidance on educational planning and career pathways. The initiative was fully funded by the Kubalia Tertiary Student Union as part of its commitment to supporting students through education and informed decision-making.
The awareness focused on helping students understand the importance of developing a clear vision for their future and setting achievable educational and career goals. Students were also guided on how to carefully select tertiary courses that match their interests, abilities, and the Grade Point Average (GPA) requirements of different universities and colleges throughout Papua New Guinea.
In addition, the awareness emphasized the importance of placing education above distractions and remaining committed to academic excellence. Students were encouraged to make responsible decisions, work diligently toward their goals, and recognize that education is a powerful pathway to personal growth, employment opportunities, and community development. Through this initiative, the Kubalia Tertiary Student Union reaffirmed its dedication to empowering young people with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed choices and build successful futures.
